Whitesands Bay

This is a truly unique place that is busy all year round. There is a wide, sandy beach with large rolling waves and interesting rocks.

What makes it different is the small mountain that is right beside the beach. These features make Pembrokeshire's Whitesands Bay popular with surfers and canoeists, as well as walkers and climbers.

There is a large car park right in front of the beach, and it includes a cafe, small shop and toilets. Note that parking will cost you a couple of pounds.

Dogs are not permitted on the beach between May and September.

Right at the front of the car park is a row of parking spaces for
disabled people. This means that they can watch the year-round
activity from their cars. Several rocks and islands can be seen in the bay.
