South Africa

South Africa, together with Lesotho and Swaziland which it encloses, is an amazing and vibrant place. The climate ranges from Mediterranean-style to sub-tropical. There is an abundance of flora and fauna. And the South African people are friendly and welcoming.

We spent three weeks in South Africa, on a Saga holiday, and were amazed at the contrasts. We saw everything from whales to lions, met some of the poorest and some of the wealthiest people in the world, and travelled from sea level to 3000m high mountains.
